Hello Hello! Thank you for stopping by my online home to highlight my creative endeavors. I like the sound of possibly being a Renaissance Woman, or maybe I just like that I can almost spell it, or better yet the song from Something Rotten~ “Welcome to the Renaissance!” Whatever the reason, the sentiment is true, I enjoy many pursuits and most of them are complimentary and a bit artsy- hence luring you all here to share some time on the fun and funky side of me, Shawn Marie..
Let’s get down to it, shall we? Curious why my photo is on a different side from focused? Well, I’d like to believe I am soft on the eyes, so to make sure I am soft on yours I selected these gloriously cheese-clothed* shots that sparkle. Now, If you came here looking to hire me for some help with anything multimedia- head on over here to join The A/V Club and we will get your project to the top of the list! If you were looking for an author, a playwright, a writer, a performer, or for someone to host a radio show or podcast or moderate or join a panel with the top notch skillset and talent, you have come to the right place!
I come from a history of radio work- which came from my deep passion for Radio! Being an Air Host satisfies this passion in strong beneficial ways. I’ve at least two great shows ready to go at a moment’s notice and about ten more in my mind. Have a station? Need a show? Need a Host? Need a moderator? Need some imaging? Give me a call! Since everything is active and ever evolving, I too am willing to shift and incorporate my radio love and skills into the convention world and the podcasting world. Oh Where, Oh Where are the Investors? I would love to bring to the world a podcast it can hear, interact with and see through video elements. Let’s transcend the expected, be innovative and have some fun.
Believe it or not, I am a performer and have been since I was in single digits! Ever since I wanted to be Fred Astaire’s dance partner- it’s kind of a long story. My performance channels tend to lean toward acting, orating, and tap dancing and even then it is typically a show I have also written. I’ve a one woman show that has been produced across this nation and is available for bookings. Mostly I perform on stage, but I am not opposed to exploring the screens. I also think my life long experiences with playwrighting sets me apart when performing a role- I go so deep inside the words until I can extol and express the story organically and magically.
Despite the vivacious ways I write about myself, the most audacious thing about me might be that I am actually an introvert. (My friend Kimmie hates that word!) But it is the truth and it comes in handy for my first and most consistent creative love: Writing! When writing I feel truly connected to the world around me and within me. As I continue to be the playwright, novelist, memoirist, and epistolarian of my dreams; I hope that you may love words as much as I do, and that you might enjoy the way I string some of them together. I am currently working on updating a novel that started over a decade ago with the goal to publish soon for there are a few other stories whose characters have been screaming for attention lately. Will keep you posted.
If you have a question about or of me that you haven’t found here, head on over and ask me in Questions Across Time, where no doubt I have answered this question at some point in my life and I will find that answer in video form- no matter the year it happened! If you would like to peek inside the mailbox of my mind and even join me in my epistolary adventures head on over to Sincerely, sm.

Oh, I am married to a brilliant editor and amazing cook who also happens to be a playwright and novelist. She and I live in the desert with two cats who rule the house. Which can be tricky as we both work from home!
*As if I had cheese cloth or the dexterity to use it! I am simply not the greatest at selfies and was probably moving too much. And the sparkle, let’s let that be a mystery. 🙂
